The Sunday long run is the most important run of the week for those training for longer distance events.
Various informal groups of Dulwich Runners meet up each Sunday morning with these organised on our facebook page. These don't need to be fast; it is time on your feet which helps build the stamina and confidence. Runners are encouraged to mix up their routes and try out off road and park surfaces to keep things interesting and reduce the strain on those legs!
Locations like Richmond Park, Wimbledon Common, Beckenham Place Park, the Thames Path east of Woolwich, and the countryside out to Bromley Borough, Kent and Surrey are all good places to mix it up, with suitable routes whether sun or snow!
There are 2 regular Sunday groups particularly for those planning spring marathons and half marathons
9am Dulwich Park (College Road entrance) - Suitable for those running at 8 min / mile and faster. Details usually posted on the internal Facebook group page by Tom South / Ebe Prill
8am Brockwell Park (Herne Hill gate) - for those running 8 min/mile and slower
